بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ مِنْ ذَكَرٍ وَأُنْثَىٰ وَجَعَلْنَاكُمْ شُعُوبًا وَقَبَائِلَ لِتَعَارَفُوا ۚ إِنَّ أَكْرَمَكُمْ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ أَتْقَاكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌ
An English Translation
“O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things).”
A Roman Hindi-Urdu Translation
“Ay logo, Ham ne tumhein ek mard aur ek mard se paida kiya. Aur tumhein qaumon aur khaandaanon mein taqseem(baant) kar diya taaki tum ek dusare ko pehchaano. Beshak Allaah ke nazdeek tum sab mein zyaada izzat waala wo hai jo sabse zyaada parhezgaar hai. Beshak Allaah Janne Waala, Khabar Rakhne Waala hai.”
Another English Translation
“O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted.”
An Urdu Translation
“لوگو، ہم نے تم کو ایک مرد اور ایک عورت سے پیدا کیا
اور پھر تمہاری قومیں اور برادریاں بنا دیں تاکہ تم ایک دوسرے کو پہچانو در حقیقت اللہ کے نزدیک تم میں سب سے زیادہ عزت والا وہ ہے جو تمہارے اندر سب سے زیادہ پرہیز گار ہے یقیناً اللہ سب کچھ جاننے والا اور باخبر ہے.”
